We are looking for a reliable Business IT Analyst / Developer (VBA/Excel/OLAP/T-SQL) with strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast paced, agile environment.
The Role
The ideal candidate will have strong experience of VBA (Excel and Access) and be able to write macros to fetch data from OLAP cubes and relational databases and also be able to write various SQL queries to put into macros. In this role you will be working with a range of reporting, mid-office and business software applications and will need to have the ability to undertake and run with projects independently. The successful applicant will be involved in defining, designing, developing and testing these systems as well as working with users in the business (account teams, consultants, etc.) in order to define and specify the requirements. Knowledge and Skills Required
- Highly proficient in MS Excel – specifically charting, pivot tables, power-pivot, large data sets
- Macro automation / VBA
- SQL Management Studio
- Experience of using relational databases (lookup tables, primary keys etc)
- Transactional SQL
- Strong MS Office skills
- Very good administrative skills and high level of numeracy
Desirable
- Experience of OLAP cube databases
- Knowledge of C#
Desirable but not Essential
- Experience of Dundas Dashboard (or other kind of dashboard creation)
- Experience of MS SharePoint
